Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for outbound prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development. This role focuses on initiating conversations with decision-makers, qualifying opportunities, and scheduling consultations for executive leadership. This is not telemarketing. The BDR represents a premium security brand and must demonstrate professionalism, consistency, and strong communication skills. This is a base salary + commission position. Commission details will be discussed during the in-person interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound phone outreach to prospective clients

  • Develop strategic email campaigns and follow-up sequences

  • Research organizations, properties, and key decision-makers

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities

  • Schedule discovery meetings for executive leadership

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and activity tracking

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly outreach benchmarks

  • Provide market feedback and competitive insights

  • Represent VCPG’s brand values in all communications

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of outbound sales, business development, BDR, SDR, or appointment-setting experience

  • Strong verbal communication with executive-level presence

  • Professional written communication skills

  • Comfortable meeting structured call and email targets

  • Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar preferred)

  • Self-motivated, organized, and performance-driven

  • B2B services, facilities management, or security industry experience is a plus
